The Cost of a Bad Boss is High; What is the Cost of Not Recognizing a Good Boss?

,

I really liked the article below. John Lees says that the primary reason people leave a job is either a cultural mismatch or a boss who drives them crazy. I’m sure we can all agree on that. My personal experience also confirms Claudio Fernández-Aráoz’s statement: “Failing to realize someone is a terrific boss is a very costly mistake, perhaps even more costly than failing to realize someone is a bad boss”. However, recognizing a great boss, both during an interview and later on the job, is more difficult (mostly due to ego-related issues) and requires care, preparation, and self-awareness.

The topics of both culture and a great boss are profound, certainly worth pondering about.
