How does it work?
Starting the coaching relationship
It’s straightforward. Email me at exintuscoaching@outlook.com with a brief note covering:
- Your name, profession, and general location/zip
- Why you are interested in coaching
- Whether you have any prior familiarity with coaching
If we decide to proceed, we establish a Coaching Agreement outlining logistics, expectations, and mutual responsibilities.
We then begin with a 2-hour Discovery Session, followed by 1-hour Regular Sessions, according to the cadence we agree upon.
Most coaching relationships last 3 to 6 months; and we will together determine what is appropriate for your particular case.
After you have e-mailed me and we have started a coaching relationship, you will do all of your session bookings on my Booking Page.
Session cadence and commitment
Sessions are scheduled based on a mutually agreed cadence. I reserve dedicated hours each week for coaching and limit the number of coachees I onboard to ensure sufficient time and focus for each engagement.
To respect this commitment and make room for those who are ready to benefit fully from coaching, I ask coachees to actively honor the coaching relationship. This includes attending sessions as scheduled and following through on agreed actions between sessions.
Coachees who repeatedly cancel sessions or do not demonstrate ongoing commitment may be released from the coaching arrangement.
The Tasting Session
Before the start of the coaching relationship, I offer a free Tasting Session – a 30-minute session focused on an issue of your choosing. This allows you to experience how coaching works and helps you assess whether we are a good fit.
You can schedule a Tasting Session only once, using the Tasting Session Booking link.
The Discovery Session
The Discovery Session lays the groundwork for the coaching relationship. It helps us establish the boundaries and expectations, as well as the freedom you will grant to this relationship. It also helps us establish a common vocabulary and set our priorities.
Shortly after you have scheduled this session, I will email you some exercises and questions as “homework.” You should have these completed and come to the Discovery Session prepared to get the most out of it.
For this reason, it is not possible to book the Discovery Session less than 5 days in advance.
Commitment fees
Experience has shown me that when something is entirely free, it is easily devalued — even when it has real impact. My aim is to make coaching accessible to young professionals while still ensuring meaningful commitment from both sides.
I therefore require a commitment fee of $35 per session.
This amount is intentionally modest: not enough to deter anyone genuinely motivated, but sufficient to filter out casual interest that lacks dedication.
- The Tasting Session does not have a commitment fee.
- Commitment fees are not intended as compensation; they simply reinforce intentional participation.
Cancellations and rescheduling
- Commitment fees are non-refundable if you cancel or do not attend a scheduled session.
- If you request a reschedule, I will try to accommodate your request solely at my discretion. Unless I confirm the change, the original appointment stands.
- If I must cancel, any related commitment fees — and any proven logistical costs — are fully refundable.
Logistics
- In-person sessions: logistical expenses, if any, (e.g. venue, parking) are the coachee’s responsibility.
- If no free alternatives can be found, preferred in-person venue is Switchyards Buckhead. (~$15/hour allocated cost)
- In-person meetings must take place within 10 miles of ZIP code 30319; they cannot be in a private home.
- I prefer to hold the Discovery Session in person – if possible.
- Virtual sessions are held on either Google Meet, Teams, or WhatsApp as mutually agreed.
