Your journey:

During our sessions together, we will address the agenda that you bring to each session – however, we will always tie these to the bigger agenda of who you are and how to align your actions with your being.

At the end of a successful coaching journey, you will have equipped yourself with such self-awareness and such powerful tools that you will be able to keep the cog turning without the coaching sessions. One day in the future, if you find yourself in need of tool-sharpening, or if you find that you or your circumstances are now so different that you want to draw strength from a new coaching relationship, you can always take on coaching again.

Prior to embarking on a coaching journey, perhaps the most important understanding that a potential coachee can have is what to expect (and not to expect) during and after this journey. I have listed the salient points further down on this page; please feel free to e-mail me if you have further questions.

Beware:

It is neither the coach nor the coachee that determines the success of coaching; it is the coaching relationship. The strength of this relationship is the product of the dedication of both the coach and the coachee. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of the coachee’s commitment. This commitment covers not only the coaching sessions, but also the follow-through between sessions, as most of the transformation will occur during that time, when decisions and choices are put into action. And that’s why the small heading below says “coaching can help you” instead of “coaching will.”

Coaching can help you:

  • become aware of who you really are and who you want to be;
  • thereby reveal what needs to be true for your fulfillment;
  • identify your inner resources and develop the ability to tap into them as needed;
  • differentiate between real hurdles and imagined/exaggerated obstacles;
  • develop the ability to see the options and choices available to you;
  • make the choices that align with your (desired) being; and
  • take actions that support your aligned choices.

Coaching will not:

  • “fix” you; *
  • let you in on the secret to happiness;
  • provide you with the solutions of your problems; or
  • solve your problems for you.
